Muffin #1 and Muffin #2

If you thought this post was going to include recipes for muffins...
sorry, you're wrong! (And sorry if I just made you hungry b/c I am now)
My sister Emily and I call our neices muffins.
I don't really know why, but we do and I love it. :)
So...this post is dedicated to the sweet muffins in my life who
I get to see in a very short week!! :)
Meet muffin #1 :) Maren Elizabeth...

She is 4 going on 16. :)

She is the spunkiest, funniest, dramatic, tough, strong-willed but oh so sweet,
very smart, most precious girl.

And this is muffin #2 Kennedy Lynne

(she was named after me; our middle names are both Lynne. :))

What is not to love about this baby girl?

She is a precious, always smiling, happy, a bit on the stubborn and dramatic side :),

sweet little tiny that you just want to hug.

If you think your neices are adorable, think again.

Just kidding. :) I'm just a teeeensy bit biased.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone! :)

Romans 8:31-39

Via
"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He, who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written, 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.' No, in all these things we are more than conquerers through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Happy Birthday MFMIL :)

Seriously, I am blessed to have this woman as my mil:
She brings a spark of FUN to everyone around her and has such a kind, caring heart. :)
I love that we have special nicknames for each other like MFMIL and MFDIL
which if you didn't know stand for "my favorite" :)...
because I'm her only DIL (for now) :)
So today on her very special day....
I want to wish her a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

We love you so much and I am so blessed to be a part of SUCH a special,
loving, and wonderful family and that God chose YOU for my mother-in-law.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM GARLICH! :)

Have a fabulous day!
You are so loved!

What I'm Loving Wednesday...

So I've been following sweet blogger Jaime for a long time and have never once done

a "What I'm Loving Wednesday" post.

But this Wednesday...my hubby is in Pensacola for a training with work and I am
sitting here on a Wednesday night maxin and relaxin and thought....
What I love Wednesday!

I'm loving the following today (in no particular order of importance :))...

1. I got to talk on the phone with BOTH of my sisters. They both are so special and unique and I love them so much. I am so blessed with such wonderful friendships with my precious sisters. :)
2. The free white chocolate mocha my coworker bought me today....yummm.

3. There has been a really bad storm this afternoon which normally would be depressing but it is the perfect weather for falling asleep....a good mix of rain, lightening, and occasional thunder. And I have the bed all to myself...I'm going to sleep good tonight. :)

4. The way things have worked out with all of the things I was stressing about on Monday. Thank you Lord! :) I have some great coworkers who really help also. We took this picture last Friday when I was the only one who didn't get the Homewood Suites polo memo :)

5. This really cute Lilly Pulitzer top that I wish I could afford to buy :)
6. My sweet husband who went over and beyond for a friend today in the midst of his own trials and was such a wonderful example of what it means to be a Christian.
I am so proud of you babe! And you're hott. :) I'm a blessed girl.

7. And lastly....I get to see these adorable people next weekend....and my parents, in loves, aunt and uncle, and cousin and her sweet family. I AM SO EXCITED I can't even stand it!!!!! :)

I think I need to link up to Jamie every Wednesday! This was fun. :)

So happy there are only 2 days to the weekend!

Stress

This is me.
Work is insane.
Insane like a whole group with 15 different payment methods stretched out between two hotels and not enough room types for them and and 5,000 people flocking to Tallahassee for legislative session and 3 disability groups coming at the same time all wanting handicap rooms and my people pleaser self trying to accomodate everyone and....
And sometimes (yeah right...hardly ever) I don't know how to handle my stress.
So this morning I pulled open my little
Spiritual Refreshment for Women Devotional
and turned to the Strength section.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." -Philippians 4:13
You're probably busier than you've ever been--
doing more than you've ever done.
Maybe you feel exhausted--
physically,mentally, and emotionally.
God has given you strength for your days--
even the toughest ones.
He is the source you can draw on
when you feel your supply is running low.
You don't have to go at life alone.
When you reach for Him, he's always there,
ready to refresh you.
Find quiet moments to dip your soul into His supply.
You'll come away strengthened and renewed.
Aahhhh. Deep sigh.
You are in control, Lord.
Happy Monday everyone!

America's Next Great Restaurant & Secret Millionaire

There are two new shows on tonight that I am switching between...
and

I love, love Curtis Stone from his days on The Take Home Chef and
wished many times that he would pull me aside while I grocery shopped and
tell me in a wonderfully british accent that he was going to come home with me
and help me make a delicious meal for my family and friends.
:)
Are you watching either one of these tonight...or both like me?

Jesus, I My Cross Have Taken

Via

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe."
Proverbs 18:10

This morning we sang a new song which I found out after looking it up it is actually an old hymn.
I love our worship team because we sing so many hymns but they revamp them.
I know the Lord wanted me to hear it this morning because it hit me right
when and where I needed it.
Tears began streaming down my face and He showed me
a little more of WHO He is.

He showed me that yes, we will face trials on earth
but it is all for his glory and our good.
And that He is guiding us along the way.
Soon, we will see Him face to face and it will all be worth it.
No more trials, no more pain.
But life forever in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
How am I going to live my short days here on earth?
Pining after the things of this world or living for His glory?
I want to choose you, Jesus.

I'll share several verses from Jesus, I my cross have taken...

Jesus, I my cross have taken
All to leave and follow Thee
Destitute, despised, forsaken
Thou from hence my All shalt be
Perish every fond ambition,
All I've sought or hoped or known;
Yet how rich is my condition!
God and heaven are still my own.

Go, then earthly fame and treasure
Come disaster, scorn, and pain!
In thy service pain is pleasure;
with Thy favor loss is gain.
I have called Thee Abba Father!
I have stayed my heart on Thee.
Storms may howl and clouds may gather,
All must work for good to me.

Man may trouble and distress me
Twill but drive me to Thy breast
Life with trials hard may press me,
Heaven will bring me sweeter rest
Oh 'tis not in grief to harm me
While Thy love is left to me;
Oh,' twere not in joy to charm me,
Were that joy unmixed with thee.

Haste then on from grace to glory,
Armed by faith and winged by prayer;
Heaven's eternal days before thee
God's own hand shall guide thee there.

Soon shall close the earthly mission,
Swift shall pass thy pilgrim days,
Hope soon change to glad fruition,
Faith to sight and prayer to praise.

IPad madness!

I am blogging from our new IPad and it is the coolest thing I have ever seen. I feel like a little kid playing Nintendo Super Mario Brothers for the first time. Matt and I have talked about getting one but it was always just (or so I thought) hopeful wishes. We just found out this week (I know, we are probably behind the times :)) that Apple was introducing the IPad 2 and they were lowering the first edition by $100. Take that discount, add in Matty's Tar jay discount and the fact that he saved all of his Christmas and Birthday money and..... Score! We are new IPad owners! It is quite different from a regular computer so I am still trying to learn how to use it but from what I know so far it is hands down awesome.

The only bummer is that my husband thinks its only his....but I keep telling him because we are married, "What's mine is yours and whats yours is mine, babe." :)

He has been very sweet and let me play with it ALMOST the entire length of the Orlando Magic basketball game last night....with of course commercial break interruptions "Can I see the Ipad real quick?" :)

Well, I need to go get ready for the
Walk for Life I am doing with our church. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll be back later this weekend for another post. :)
