Some Pictures to Wet Your Whistle :)

So, I lied.
I said I was updating soon.
And that was almost two months ago.
So shameful. So sad. I have no excuses except I just haven't really felt like blogging.
But it's my blog so I'm just going to pick up like I have been posting all this time.
:)
I can do that, right?
So in honor of my precious and wonderful mother who told me I had to blog :), I am posting just a few pictures of our new home decorated for Christmas to get back up on the blogging horse.
Can I just say what a joy it is to own your own home and be able to decorate multiple spaces for Christmas? And to have your entire family come to your home and stay there for Christmas? Oh my goodness I can't even contain my excitement.

I was very excited to find this precious little secretary dresser below at an awesome antique store for $50...already painted! It is one of my favorite pieces in our house and it sits in a perfect little nook in our foyer. (The picture is cropped weird because to the left is our bannister that leads to the upstairs but my sweet husband had to take the bannister off to put the secretary in place and it hasn't gone back on yet...but that is on his honey-do list :))
And lastly I'll leave you with a larger view of our living room showing our tree.
Don't worry, there will be more pictures, more updates, and more catch-up.
But for the next little while, I am going to enjoy the season and just soak up all that God has done for us this year. I'm going to be joyfully busy getting ready for my family's arrival & then truly enjoying the time we have together. :)
Merry Christmas from our home to yours. :)

So much I wanna post about.

Hi peeps!

I have been so ridiculously MIA it's not even funny.

And I am starting to really miss blogging.

We've been busy little beavers with all things house related.

And we're kind of going 90 miles a minute.

There is SO much I want to post about....

so much it overwhelms me.

I just need to find the time and put posts together one at a time

and not feel like I have to give an update on what has been going on in our lives

in ONE BIG POST.
Because it would be the longest post known to man.
So I am sorry for the teaser but I PROMISE I am posting soon.

And you can hold me to it. :)

Go Noles!

This picture is pretty poor quality but I just had to show my baby supporting her Seminoles.

We bought her this little scarf at the Pittmaster Festival this weekend which had pretty delicious barbecue and was really fun.
We felt the need to buy this for her especially because EVERYONE and their mother up here is a University of Georgia fan and we plan to support our team in every way possible from far away.
Because we're awesome.
62-10 was the score on Saturday.
Are you kidding me?!?
Can't wait for the game this weekend!

And also T-minus 8 days until CLOSING!
AHHHH I can't even handle my excitement. :)

The Big 2-4

I like being 24 so far. Probably because the first day of this birth year was awesome.

I spent the whole day with my husband.

I got happy birthday texts and facebook messages.

We went to church.

My sweet new friend suprised me with a present at church.

We went to Dunkin Donuts.

Matt actually drank coffee.

I opened up cards and presents.

We watched an episode of Everwood.

(since we're not in our house and don't have cable or internet yet, we have been watching seasons of this show--it's so good. I never saw it when it was on TV.)

We drove around to find a park for Lucy to play at.

Matt threw the football for her and I enjoyed laying in the sun on fresh cut grass.

We came home and watched two more episodes of Everwood.

Then we got ready and went to Fogo de Chao for dinner, an awesome brazillian steakhouse, where pretty much we committed gluttony and felt like we needed to be rolled out of there afterwards.

And even though Matt was a wonderful husband and made me feel very special,

he kind of freaked out a little bit when he saw the bill.

;)

Because in all of our 3 years of marriage, we have never paid that much for one meal.

But it was SO worth it. And my very frugal hubby felt the same way.
So here's to 24....I'm excited for a GREAT year. :)
New city.
New job.
New house.
New friends.
Lord, help me to honor you with all of the blessings you have poured out on my life.
